Which materials need protective treatment in addition to deep cleaning?

Our deep floor cleaning service helps floors, regardless of material, stay looking newer for longer and leave a professional impression on employees, clients and visitors alike.

1. PVC and Linoleum – Waxing

For the best results, we wax floors after deep cleaning.

Waxing creates a protective layer on porous floors that prevents dirt brought in on footwear from penetrating the surface, making everyday cleaning significantly easier afterwards.

Depending on the floor surface and the client’s wishes, we can use matte or glossy wax. We wax both PVC and linoleum floors.

Leaving floors unwaxed leaves the covering completely unprotected, and dirt and sand particles brought in from outside cause damage that can no longer be removed — worn walking paths in particular become clearly visible.

2. Stone or Tiles – Impregnation

As a first step, we remove the old protective layer covering the surface.

We then use a machine-scrubbing method to remove dirt that has penetrated the surface pores and grout lines, extract the remaining water and residue with a wet vacuum, and finally dry the floor.

Impregnating stone floors with a saturating agent does not change the floor’s visual appearance, but it stops dirt from adhering as easily and makes the floor easier to maintain. Grout lines are also impregnated to prevent dirt build-up.

3. Parquet Floors – Oiling

We deep clean natural wood flooring using a floor maintenance machine.

For this we use a special low-abrasion pad together with a detergent designed for wood floors.

After cleaning, the floor is left to dry and its surface is coated with a special maintenance oil, then treated again with the floor maintenance machine; finally, any excess oil is removed and the floor is polished.

What else should you know
when ordering a deep floor clean?

Depending on the type of covering, we also carry out protective treatment, which fills the pores of the floor surface with a protective layer. We recommend ordering deep floor cleaning and protective treatment from a cleaning company according to foot traffic load, or on average twice a year.

To achieve the best results, we follow the guidelines set by floor covering manufacturers, as each manufacturer provides precise cleaning and maintenance instructions for every material — following these keeps the floor’s lifespan as long as possible.

Improper maintenance results, in the worst case, in permanent damage to the floor covering; in the best case, the damage is limited to the improperly cleaned area simply attracting more dirt in future.

We also offer our clients a full cleaning service package, where, in addition to other agreed tasks, we monitor the condition of the floors and their need for deep cleaning. The purpose of the full package is to take all cleaning responsibility, planning and execution onto ourselves, so the client doesn’t have to spend their own time on it.
